Plans to transform a former Territorial Army centre in Telford into a mosque should be decided next week.
Muslim leaders from the Telford Central Mosque, Tan Bank, Wellington, want to transform the former King Street centre.
The £1.2 million scheme will go before members of Telford & Wrekin Council for a decision next week - and council officers have recommended it for approval.
The scheme includes a flat for the imam, two religious goods shops, community rooms and a mortuary for the preparation of bodies for an Islamic burial.
