Meeting on mast plans

Campaigners fighting plans for a mobile phone mast in Telford are hoping to grill representatives from Telford & Wrekin Council and phone giant Vodafone.

The mast, which has won planning permission, is planned for land off Malinslee playing fields.

Councillor Shaun Davies, from Great Dawley Parish Council, said residents had sent out invites to council regeneration chief Steve Bentley and to Vodafone.

He said: "We want them to come along to explain their position."

The meeting will take place at Great Dawley Parish Council offices in Dawley from 8pm tonight.
