Entrepreneur Kevin Guerin of Doseley opened his new catering venture at The Pheasant Inn in Wellington.

The 45-year-old managed to raise £16,000, through the crowd-funding website Kickstarter, to turn the bus into a new way of serving food for his business the Ironbridge Catering Company.

He invited past, present and future clients to the event as a way of saying thank you for showing him support over the last nine years. Also invited to the launch were people who helped transform the bus, who are based locally.

Mr Guerin, who runs the company with his wife Suzie said: "I didn't know how the launch was going to go down, and I have been so nervous for the past few days leading up to this.

"Everyone who came seemed to be happy with everything that was going and I even has someone come who used our service two years after the business was set up.

"I just wanted to give something back to everyone who has supported the business.

"Everything in the van has been supplied or installed by local companies in the county, as I believe we needed to keep it within the local community. I also invited people from Kickstarter as this wouldn't have been possible without them.

"The bus is even named Ron after after one of the people helping us to refurbish it.

"We have lots planned and a few big events coming up."
