Skating Minions, tigers and slices of cake featured on the ice when a variety of activities were organised over the weekend.

Families waved at the camera for the big screen as they enjoyed the gliding and dancing, while others donned sumo suits to take part in races at the attraction in St Quentin Gate.

There was also a sing-a-long for music lovers while DJ Paul Shuttleworth made an appearance to play the latest sounds to keep guests dancing in time.

Telford Ice Rink manager James Craig said: "We opened in 1984 and in 2013 we were refurbished with £4 million invested. We are a facility which is at the heart of Southwater."
