The GMC this week lifted Dr Sarah Myhill's suspension and restored her licence to practise medicine, subject to conditions.
The former NHS GP, who specialises in treating people with chronic fatigue syndrome, today said she was "delighted" by the U-turn.
Dr Myhill, 52 and based in Llangunllo, near Knighton, was suspended by the GMC in October last year. She was alleged to have provided "inappropriate" treatment to a patient in 2009 after she recommended vitamin and magnesium injections for suspected chronic fatigue syndrome.
But at a hearing on Thursday the GMC Interim Orders Panel replaced the order, which contained the suspension, with a set of conditions.
The suspension was lifted and the conditions will remain in place until the end of the original order which runs until October. Dr Myhill, who said she was furious at how her case has been handled, intends to pursue High Court action against the GMC.
A spokeswoman for the GMC today said it could not comment on matters outside the hearing.
Dr Myhill's today said she wanted to thank her many friends who had stood by her. She said "I am so grateful to those thousands of patients and medical colleagues who knew that I was a good doctor who had done nothing wrong and kept their faith in me."
