E L James today told how her dream was to see Fifty Shades of Grey in a bookshop - and that the success of the trilogy has taken her completely by surprise.
The best-selling author told the Shropshire Star that she was 'fed-up' with the media attention surrounding the series and added: "I can't own people's reaction to the books.
"My only dream was to see Fifty Shades of Grey in a bookshop - the explosion of interest has taken me completely by surprise."
