Specialist officers are conducting extensive searches in woodland off the Nant-y-Garth pass, near Wrexham, where a female body was discovered on Friday as they attempt to trace some missing items.

In particular, they are looking for a bag, a make-up bag, her mobile phone and items of clothing.

The bag is a distinctive spotty leather satchel and her smart phone is a white Samsung Galaxy Y.

The make-up bag is pink with a flowered pattern and contained various items of make-up.

Among items of clothes missing, detectives are particularly keen to trace Georgia's waist-length black leather-type jacket with a stand-up collar, which the 17-year-old was wearing when she was last seen leaving her family's home in Wellington at 7.30pm on May 26.

Detective Superintendent Adrian McGee, who is leading the investigation, said: "The support the public and the media have given to our investigation so far has been fantastic, but we need to ask for their help once more as we try to find these items. If anyone is aware of their whereabouts or comes across any suspicious items, particularly in the area between Oswestry, Wrexham and Ruthin, then please get in touch."

The investigation team can be contacted by ringing the non-emergency police number 101 and asking for West Mercia Police.
