Firefighters were called to the crash at the Gobowen roundabout, near Oswestry, at about 10.40am on Wesnesday.
The accident caused congestion along the main A5/A483 route.
Oswestry firefighter Robin Evans said the lorry was carrying a load of wood. He said: "We actually came across the crash on the way to a fire alarm at Oswestry Orthopaedic Hospital."
Oswestry Orthopaedic Hospital spokeswoman Katrina Morphet said a smoke alarm was activated in a laboratory after equipment overheated.
