Woman sexually assaulted on Telford street
A woman was sexually assaulted as she walked along a Telford road in the early hours of today.
The incident happened between 2am and 4am as the woman, in her 20s, was walking along Brookside Avenue, Brookside.
She was sexually assaulted by an unknown man who pushed her and touched her inappropriately.
The man is described as white, in his 20s, approximately 5'9" tall, of moderate build, with short dark hair and with a Telford accent.
DS Jeremy Gardner said: "We would like to stress that incidents of this nature are rare in the area but this was clearly very distressing for the woman involved.
"We are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or seen a man matching the description in the area at the time to contact police."
