Appeal after man assaulted outside Shrewsbury nightclub

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted outside a Shrewsbury nightclub.

The incident took place after an argument broke out at the Beach Nightclub between a group of friends at approximately 3.35am last Saturday.
It is believed the victim was attempting to calm the situation, when he was punched in the face and knocked to the floor before being punched for a second time as he stood up.
The offender was not known to the victim or the group and has been described as white, 6ft 3ins tall and was wearing a bright green Adidas hooded top.
The victim sustained a broken jaw and required surgery after the incident.
PC Paul Frank, from West Mercia Police, said: "This was a violent attack which resulted in significant injuries, we are therefore keen to ensure the offender is apprehended and brought to justice as quickly as possible.
"We ask anyone who may have seen the incident to contact police immediately."
Anyone with information should contact police on the non-emergency number 101 and quote the incident reference 99 of October 25 or anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
