Man taken to hospital after car crashes off Shropshire road

A driver has been taken to hospital after his Land Rover left a road near Telford today and ended up in a hedge.

The man, in his 30s, was treated for minor injuries to his head and shoulder before being taken to Princess Royal Hospital in Telford by ambulance.

The crash happened on the B5062 in Crudgington, near Telford, just before 9.30am.

The road was temporarily closed but had reopened by 11.30am.

Two fire appliances and the rescue render from Wellington Fire Station were also sent to the accident but no one was trapped.
