Woman trapped in crash on Shropshire border
A woman was taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash left her trapped in her car on the Shropshire border.
Emergency services attended after a collision between a van and car on the A41 at Grindley Brook.
Fire crews from Whitchurch, Malpas and Wellington attended the incident which happened just before 11.45am.
A spokeswoman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Fire and rescue crews were on the scene of a road traffic collision on the A41 between Grindley Brook and Bell O' Th' Hill.
"We sent a fire crew from Malpas. Two vehicles were involved, a van and a saloon car.
"A female casualty was trapped in the car.
"Firefighters made the scene safe before removing the casualty on a spinal board and handing her into the care of the ambulance service."
