Julie Mercer's body was found on December 24 at a unit on Featherbed Lane, Shrewsbury, run by Dial-a-Ride.

Mr John Ellery, Coroner for Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin, said he was awaiting the outcome of criminal proceedings after 45-year-old Nigel Woolley, from Buttington Road, in Shrewsbury, was charged with her murder.

The inquest had originally been opened and adjourned until May 16.

Woolley was arrested shortly after Mrs Mercer's body was found. He was remanded in custody after appearing at Telford Magistrates Court earlier this month for a short hearing where he spoke only to confirm his name and address.

He is due to appear next at Shrewsbury Crown Court on March 16.

Mrs Mercer was a finance officer who also lived in Buttington Road.
