Fire crews tackle blaze at Telford house

Fire crews were called to a fire at an empty house in Telford during the early hours of this morning.

Three crews from Telford Central and Wellington went to the fire at Wombridge Road shortly after 4.30am today.

The fire involved the ground and first floor of a semi-detached house, with an adjacent house heavily smokelogged.

Firefighters used two hosereels and one covering jet to put the fire out.

There are no reports of any injuries and the cause of the fire is not yet known.

Elsewhere, shortly after 10pm last night a Market Drayton fire crew tackled a fire to siz large recycling bins and some wooden fencing which had set alight.
