Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after collision near Telford

A motorcyclist has been flown to hospital following a collision with a car near Telford.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Cotwall Lane, High Ercall, shortly before 2.35pm today.

An ambulance crew and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said the motorcyclist, a man in his sixties, had a fractured pelvis, a fractured wrist and back pain.

He was flown to Royal Stoke University Hospital.

A woman who was driving the car involved was experiencing some pains. She and her husband passenger were both assessed and discharged at the scene.
