Pair try to snatch teenager's dog in Telford

Two men tried to make off with a teenager's dog in Telford while the owner was sitting down.

The victim, a 19-year-old man, was sat with his dog on a grass verge behind the shops at the Leegomery Centre when he was approached by two men.

One of the men proceeded to push the victim and then grabbed his dog.

The dog then managed to escape and returned to its owner. The victim was not injured during the incident.

The two men are believed to be in their late 20s and were wearing dark tracksuits, with one having a distinctive gold watch on his right wrist.

The incident happened on Tuesday, May 26, between 6.15pm and 6.45pm.

Anyone with information, or who saw two men of this description in the area at the time, is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident 568S of Tuesday, May 26.
