Man attacked by group with metal bars in Telford

A man has been attacked by a group of three other men in Telford with what are believed to be metal bars.

West Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault took place in the Leegomery area.

The incident happened Monday at around 5.40pm on Hurleybrook Way.

Police say three men are believed to have assaulted another man with metal bars. The victim, a 24-year-old man, sustained several minor injuries requiring treatment at Princess Royal Hospital.

Police have described the offenders as Asian. It is not yet known whether the offenders are known to the victim.

PC Iain McIntosh, the investigating officer, said: "We are taking this incident very seriously and are eager to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault or any suspicious activity in the area at the time."
