Man arrested on suspicion of rape in Shrewsbury
Forensic officers swooped on an area of Shrewsbury following reports that a woman had been raped in the early hours.

Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious at around 4.30am in the Montford Bridge area are being urged to get in touch with the police.
Sarah-Jayne Lynch from West Mercia Police said: "West Mercia Police are investigating a rape which was reported at approximately 4.30am this morning on Montford Bridge in Shrewsbury. A 25-year-old man from Shrewsbury has been arrested on suspicion of rape and is currently in custody."
Anyone with any information should contact the police on 101 quoting incident number 36 of June 17.
