Man killed in industrial accident on Shropshire border
A man has died after being trapped under heavy machinery at an industrial park on the Shropshire border.
The incident happened at Mereside Industrial Park in Fenns Bank, near Whitchurch, at about 12.20pm today and a man in his 30s suffered fatal injuries.
Emergency services were called to the scene.
Richard Timothy, a spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service, said: "The Welsh Ambulance Service were called at just after 12 noon on Tuesday, July 14, to reports of a serious incident in the Fenns Bank area.
"We attended with one rapid response vehicle, two emergency ambulances, and one air ambulance."
One fire engine from Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service attended.
A spokesman for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "The man had become trapped under heavy plant machinery but was released before arrival."
North Wales Police said the corner and the Health and Safety Executive have been informed.
