Police appeal over man photographing children at Boyzone's Telford concert

Police are appealing for a woman to come foward after she raised concerns with another concert-goer about a man taking pictures of children whle Boyzone were performing at Telford Town Park last month.

The Irish band headlined the concert on Saturday, June 27.

A West Mercia Police spokesman said: "At approximately 7.30pm a concerned mum reported to officers that she believed a man had been taking pictures of children at the event, after another woman warned her of her concerns. Police would like to speak to this initial witness.

"The incident took place when the band Boyzone were on stage, headlining at the event.

"Whilst taking pictures in a public place is not a criminal offence, investigations are taking place to establish the nature of the images, and it is hoped that the woman in question may be able to assist with on-going enquires."

Police want the woman in question, or anyone who knows who she might be, to contact them on 101, quoting 694s of June 27, 2015.
