The project is being carried out overnight in 15 phases by Highways England and will see work costing £3.2 million completed between the Dobbies roundabout and Montford Bridge.

There are a total of 15 phases to the project, with Highways England carrying out the work between 8pm and 6am in an effort to reduce the disruption for motorists.

The first phase will see a full closure eastbound and westbound from Montford Bridge to the Churncote Island.

Drivers have been advised to allow an extra 15 to 20 minutes for journeys.

Work will continue until July 24, when there will be a break before resuming on July 27.
