Emergency services were called to the site on Marsh Lane in Cheswardine, near Market Drayton at about 8.20pm on Thursday.
But on arrival, the fire fighters found it had been a false alarm reported with good intent – a safe landing had been carried out and no services were needed.
Crews left the scene at 8.45pm.
