Tractor engulfed in flames at Shifnal farm

Firefighters were called out to a tractor which was engulfed in flames in Shifnal today.

The fire broke out at 4.15pm at a farm on Priorslee Road.

Two crews from Telford Central were sent to the scene, along with an ambulance. It took the crews around an hour to put the fire out.

A spokeswoman for Shropshire Fire and Rescue said the tractor was 100 per cent engulfed in fire and that crews used two breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to put it out.

A man was treated at the scene by West Midlands Ambulance Service for smoke inhalation, but refused further hospital treatment.
