Teenager arrested over indecent exposure in front of Shrewsbury dog walker

A teenager has been arrested for allegedly performing a lewd act in front of a dog walker in Shrewsbury.

The 18-year-old man from Shrewsbury was held after police received reports of someone indecently exposing themselves in a park off Richmond Road, between the Mount and Copthorne Road.

A 43-year-old woman was walking her dog through the park at about 3.20pm on Monday when she saw a man standing on the path.

Police say the man was indecently exposing himself.

After seeing the man the victim called her dog back and headed back towards the main road where she called police.

The 18-year-old, who was arrested on suspicion of committing an act which outrages public decency, has been bailed until October 2.

Anyone with any information about the incident should call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident number 0385S of September 14.
