Chief Superintendent Lee Davenport, the hate crime lead for Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police, will be answering questions from members of the public.

He will be hosting the web chat on Tuesday between 6pm and 8pm. The event has been planned to coincide with National Hate Crime Week, which runs from Saturday to October 17.

It is one of a series of events taking place across West Mercia as part of a week of action on hate crime.

Chief Superintendent Davenport said: "We know that on a national level hate crimes are underreported. There are many reasons for this happening.

"This web chat and other events during hate crime week will give us the opportunity to engage with our communities.

"We want to ensure that victims are comfortable to come forward in the confidence that they will be listened to and supported.

"We are looking forward to discussing some of the issues involved.

"If you've got any questions whatsoever on hate crime, we would ask people to take this opportunity to ask them."
