Police were called to a lane off Stourbridge Road yesterday at about 1.30pm after the plants were found.
Police Community Support Officer Malcolm Goddard, of West Mercia Police's safer neighbourhood team for Broseley and Much Wenlock, said: "A member of the public had been out for a walk on a small country lane off the Stourbridge Road.
"They had gone for a walk and smelt a peculiar smell.
"They were aware of what the smell was and found a number of plants that had been dumped.
"Nothing there was usable as plant stuff, it had been harvested. There were about half a dozen plants that someone has just turned up and dumped."
