Man taken to hospital after attack outside Telford nightclub

A man needed hospital treatment after he was attacked outside a Telford nightclub.

The assault happened outside Pussycats Nightclub, in Tan Bank, Wellington, when the victim and a friend left the club as it closed.

The victim, a man his 20s, was then attacked by two men, suffering lacerations to his face.

He was taken to the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford for further treatment.

The attack happened in the early hours of Sunday, October 25.

Terri-Anne Powell, spokeswoman for West Mercia Police said: "The pair left the club at approximately 3:15am, when the club was beginning to close.

"Between 3.15am and 4am, the victim's friend was stood outside smoking when he noticed the victim was being assaulted by two men.

"Both men were described as white and tall.

"Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident."
