Shropshire M54 stretch to shut at night for repairs
Scheduled closures on the M54 will be made in order to fix the central reservation, Highways England said today.
A stretch of the motorway at Junction 4 for Shifnal and Priorslee will be closed overnight, along with the Junction 3 slip road.
The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am from January 15 until January 17 to allow repair work to be done on the concrete central reserve barrier, according to Highways England.
It comes as motorists are set for a month of traffic problems on a number of major roads in Shropshire.
The M54 faces more works, along with major routes the A49, A483 and the A458.
The A-road works are set to affect traffic south of Shrewsbury, around Welshpool and towards Buttington.
Ongoing roadworks are also affecting motorists on the M6, close to its junction with the M54.
