Abseiler Steve Davies was called in at Shrewsbury Abbey after recent gales damaged a stained glass window.
Thankfully the winds had died down by the time Steve, of Leading Edge Solutions, pushed himself away from the roof at the Grade I listed church in Abbey Foregate.
Abbey tourism officer Mike Purslow said: "We are not too sure how the damage happened but it appears the window suffered in the strong winds."
