'Shropshire is a lovely part of the world': Paul Daniels loved performing in the county
Speaking before what was to be his last ever show in Shropshire, Paul Daniels expressed his love of performing in the county.
Speaking back in May 2015, ahead of his show at the Festival Drayton Centre in Market Drayton, he said: "I have been to Shropshire on occasions over the years to various events and it is a lovely part of the world.
"I enjoy Shrewsbury and think the county is one that appreciates the arts. I am looking forward to coming to Market Drayton and performing to the crowd there.
"I enjoy seeing audiences and I love performing, it is great.
"I promise it will be a great show in Market Drayton and I look forward to a warm Shropshire welcome."
Daniels became a household name thanks to The Paul Daniels Magic Show which ran on the BBC from 1979 to 1994.
