One taken to hospital after Church Stretton crash

A car rolled over late at night on the A49 near Church Stretton, leaving a man in need of hospital treatment.

The man had managed to free himself from the car following the accident at Marshbrook, near Church Stretton.

But he was treated at the scene before being taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital with chest and abdominal injuries.

No other vehicles were involved in the rash, which happened close to the Lazy Trout cafe at about 10.20pm on Sunday.

On arrival, firefighters gave one person first aid before the ambulance service arrived.

The vehicle was then made safe by firefighters, who left the scene at about 11.30pm.
