Storm Katie: Fallen tree and floodwater cleared in Shropshire
A fallen tree and floodwater caused by Storm Katie have been cleared from country roads in the county.
Emergency work was carried out by Shropshire Council officials to clear a tree that had fallen over the weekend and had blocked the B4378 between Much Wenlock and Craven Arms at Brockton.
David Turner, Shropshire councillor for Much Wenlock, said: "Highways officers went at about 10am yesterday. I understand what had happened was a tree had come down over the weekend and they had gone out to clear it and make it safe."
The road was reopened by mid-afternoon on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the road between Sandy Lane and Newport Road in Albrighton became "impassable" following heavy rain over the weekend.
The water completely covered the road creating a stream under the bridge. but it was also cleared by yesterday afternoon.
