A woman called Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service to raise the alarm at about 2.10pm today, however prior to their arrival his leg had been released.
Murray MacGregor, spokesman for the ambulance service, said the man, who was in his 50s, suffered reddening and bruising to his left ankle following the incident.
