Pictures and video: Two arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Telford stabbing
Two Telford men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed during a street fight in the town.
Police were called to Woollam Road, in Arleston, at 11.46pm last night to a report of a group of men fighting.
A 32-year-old Telford man suffered stab wounds to his chest. Police say he is currently in hospital where his condition is described as stable.
A 19-year-old man and a 27-year-old man, both from Telford, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. They are currently in police custody.
Superintendent James Tozer said: "A section of Woollam Road is closed while we continue to investigate. It is likely to remain closed for some time and we would advise people to find an alternative route."

"There will be extra officers patrolling the area over the weekend to provide reassurance to the local community," added Superintendent Tozer.
One resident in the street who wished not to be named, said he hadn't heared anything and was shocked at what has happened. Another reported hearing the screeching of car tyres last night.
