Telford attempted murder case put back

The case of two Telford men charged with attempted murder has been adjourned.

Shaquil Sheamus Sultan and Mohammed Kabir Zaman both appeared at Stafford Crown Court yesterday.

Judge Michael Chambers QC adjourned the case until June 6.

The defendants are accused of attempting to murder 32-year-old Mazir Khan and being in possession of an offensive weapon during an incident last month.

Mr Khan suffered stab wounds to his chest in the incident on April 14 which happened in Woollam Road, Arleston, just before midnight.

Sultan, 19, of Manor Road, Hadley, and Zaman, 27, of Victoria Avenue, Wellington, remain in custody.
