Cars collide on A49 near Craven Arms

Four people have been treated by paramedics after a crash in south Shropshire.

Motorists were warned to keep away from the A49 near Felhampton, just north of Craven Arm as traffic built following the accident at about 7.15pm.

It is not known how severe their injuries were, but the accident was described as "serious" by West Mercia Police.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Craven Arms fire station were sent to deal with the incident where the casualties were already out of their vehicles and being treated by paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service.

The area had been cleared by 8.45pm.
