Inquest opens on Bridgnorth farmer Andrew Green

The inquest has opened for a farmer whose body was found in woods near Bridgnorth.

Andrew Green, 33, disappeared from his home at Yew Tree Farm, in Chorley, 10 months ago.

The hearing in Telford was told that he was found by a member of the public in a wood in Billingsley on March 10.

The father-of-two was reported missing by his father on June 23 last year. He was identified by DNA, the hearing was told by acting coroner's officer Emma Wilson.

The inquest was adjourned until June when it will be next be heard in Shrewsbury.

Mr Green's funeral will take place at 2.30pm on May 5 at St Mary's Church in Stottesdon.

Donations will benefit Midlands Air Ambulance, Missing People, and St Mary's Church in Stottesdon.
