Man charged over Northern Ireland bomb attack
A man arrested in Shropshire has been charged over a bomb attack on police officers in Northern Ireland.
The 28-year-old man, who was held by police in Shrewsbury on June 1, has been charged with conspiracy to murder, conspiracy to cause an explosion and preparing for an act of terrorism.
He was expected to appear in court in Belfast today.
Two officers escaped injury when two pipe bombs were thrown at them in the Ballysillan area of Belfast last month.
The officers had been responding to a 999 call.
Earlier this week, a 27-year-old woman appeared in court in Belfast charged with the attempted murder of the two officers.
A 62-year-old woman also arrested in connection with the attack was released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
