Pet cat needs surgery after being shot near Oswestry
A cat had to have surgery after being shot with an air gun near Oswestry.

Police officers said Tigger the cat was shot with a .22 caliber pellet sometime between 1.30pm and 2.30pm on Friday in The Meads area of Weston Rhyn.
According to the owner Tigger always stays local when she is home, so police believe the offender either lives in The Meads or was visiting an address there.
Tigger had to undergo surgery to remove a pellet from its rear leg.
Officers, who have kept the pellet for forensic examination, said this caused unnecessary suffering for both Tigger and her owner.
