[gallery] A woman believed to be in her 70s had to be cut free from her vehicle following a two-car crash in Shrewsbury.

The woman was treated by paramedics after the accident on Ellesmere Road near the Herongate estate shortly before 8pm on Thursday.
She was taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital after complaining of pain in her lower back.
An off-duty nurse who was passing the scene also helped out.
Firefighters used cutting equipment to free the casualty before leaving them in the care of the ambulance service.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said it received four 999 calls about the crash.
