Pictures and video: Casualty taken to hospital after car and lorry crash in Telford

One casualty was taken to hospital today after a car and lorry crashed at the Trench Lock Interchange in Telford.

Emergency services were called to the scene and firefighters had to free a trapped person who was taken to hospital.

Claire Brown, a spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "We were called just before 1pm to the A442 in Trench Lock to reports of a collision involving a lorry and a car.

"Two ambulances, a responder paramedic and a paramedic area support officer attended.

"The lorry driver is uninjured."

Motorists faced long delays while the road was closed but it was reopened at about 2.15pm.
