Staffordshire bull terrier attacks dog walker in Telford

A Staffordshire bull terrier has injured a dog walker who was out in Telford.

The owners of the bull terrier were sat at a bench with their dog tied up at Willowfield Park open field in Woodside, when it suddenly broke free from its lead.

Upon breaking loose it attacked the other dog and its 52-year-old owner, who suffered puncture wounds to his left arm and thigh.

The man had to go to the hospital, while his Irish Woolfound had to be taken to the vets.

The incident happened on October 26 between 2.30pm and 3.30pm and West Mercia Police say they are trying to contact the owners of the dog involved.

The owners are described as a white man aged between 25 to 30 years old with a slim build and short black unwashed hair and a white woman with an average build and shoulder length brown hair.
