One person rescued from the River Severn in Ironbridge

One person was pulled from the River Severn in Ironbridge.

The rescue took place around Jackfield Bridge.

Emergency services were called to the scene at 4.20pm on Friday.

Fire crews from Telford Central station were called, along with West Mercia Police.

West Midlands Ambulance service also attended, sending an ambulance, with the crew from the Midlands Air Ambulance based at Cosford arriving by car.

One person was rescued from the water and sent for further treatment at a mental health facility.
