Firefighters tackle Oswestry kitchen fire

Firefighters dealt with a kitchen fire in Oswestry caused by cooking that had been left unattended.

The fire service was alerted to the fire in Lime Grove, after reports of an alarm ringing and the smell of burning.

Firefighters from Oswestry and Ellesmere wearing breathing apparatus entered the building at around 3.45pm yesterday and brought the fire under control within 45 minutes. There were no injuries.
