Bus and lorry involved in blazes in Oswestry
Fire crews were called to two blazes involving a bus and a lorry in the Oswestry area today.
Two appliances from Oswestry attended Maesbury Road at 4.15pm where a single decker bus engine caught fire.
Crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, as well as two breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera to detect any hotspots.
Two hours beforehand, two appliances from Ellesmere and Oswestry were called to the A5 where the engine of a large goods vehicle had caught fire.
One hose reel was used to extinguish the flames.
At 3.55pm, firefighters also dealt with a crash involving two vehicles in Abbey Road, Newport.
Nobody was trapped in either vehicle and crews made the scene safe.
