Police called to latest Telford car fire in early hours
An investigation has been launched into the latest car fire in Telford.
At 3.52am on Tuesday two fire engines and police were scrambled to Saxon Court, in Apley, to reports of a car fire.
Crews donned breathing apparatus and a hosereel jet to put out the fire.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service control received their incident stop message at 4.04am.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said they do not believe the fire is related to previous incidents.
He said: “We were called to reports of a vehicle fire on Saxon Court in Apley at around 4am today. Investigations are ongoing and we believe it is not linked to any other incidents.”
More than a dozen fires have been reported since the turn of the year.
