The incident at Dawley Baptist Church in Telford occurred at around 1.15pm Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said.
The fire service said they sent three fire engines to the church where a car had collided with a building.
A spokesperson said: "Crews made the scene safe and cordons were put in place. Advice was given and an assessment is required by a structural engineer before access can be gained to certain areas."
The spokesperson added that Telford and Wrekin Council were at the scene.
The incident occurred at the rear of the church in Park Road, Overdale and while the vehicle had been removed at 3.30pm, pictures show it left extensive damage to a wall.
SFRS said Telford & Wrekin Council had closed the car park to the church and were on site.
A spokesperson for the council told the Shropshire Star: “Telford & Wrekin Council’s building control team attended an incident on Wednesday, November 13 where a car had collided into a single-storey building, Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service made the scene safe, and cordons were put in place.
“The building is privately owned and as a precaution, the car park was also closed to ensure public safety, advice was given, and an assessment is now required by a structural engineer.”
It is the third collision by a vehicle with a building in the county in the last week.
