Man arrested after armed police called to Dawley following assault report and weapons discovery
A 56-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and having a weapon after a disturbance in Telford.

It is one of the older settlements in Shropshire and is mentioned in the Domesday Book. For over three centuries, it was a mining town for both coal and ironstone. The heart of Dawley is its high street which features an array of shops, including a large number of family-run firms. It also boasts an open air market every Friday.
