Shropshire Council cabinet meeting: Reduced opening hours five at customer service points agreed
Shropshire Council's cabinet met at Shirehall this afternoon to discuss opening hours at council customer service points in the county and the future of Shrewsbury's Meole Brace Pitch and Putt.
The cabinet agreed to reduce opening hours at five customer service points at Bridgnorth, Ludlow, Oswestry, Shrewsbury and Market Drayton.
It also passed a move to go to consultation on the sale of Meole Brace Pitch and Putt, with leader Malcolm Pate pledging to listen to the consultation response.
The council's financial strategy for 2017/18 to 2018/19 was presented, with Councillor Pate describing is as "prudent" and "sensible" use of funds.
However, the use of millions of pounds of reserves and "one off savings" was criticised by Lib Dem leader Roger Evans.
