The first passengers will board the service tomorrow but today easBus were at Shrewsbury bus station to give people a taste of what's in store.

The operation is the brainchild of businessman Andrew Martin, who will run the franchise on behalf of easyJet owner Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou and will take on established carriers including National Express.

Our reporter Sam Morris tweeted from the scene this morning:

There will be 16 services each day, seven days a week on the Telford to Manchester route, which also includes Wrexham and Chester, with easyBus initially investing in 12 low-emission orange mini-coaches.

The new enterprise will bring 15 jobs to the county.
